Our Story

Two friends who discovered that understanding money doesn't have to be intimidating. We started Floravex Styntheos because everyone deserves clear, honest guidance on their financial journey.

Siobhan Kilpatrick

Co-Founder & Educational Director

After working in Dublin's financial sector for eight years, Siobhan realized that most people avoid investing simply because nobody explains it properly. She spent her evenings teaching friends and family about money management until Cormac suggested they create something bigger. Now she designs our courses to feel like conversations with a knowledgeable friend.

Cormac Hegarty, Co-Founder of Floravex Styntheos

Cormac Hegarty

Co-Founder & Technical Director

Cormac learned about investing the hard way — by making every mistake possible with his first paycheck. After turning things around, he became passionate about helping others skip the costly learning curve. He handles our platform development and ensures our educational content stays practical and accessible for real people with real budgets.

2022

Started with weekend workshops in Siobhan's living room. Six friends showed up to learn about index funds and budgeting. Word spread quickly when people realized they could actually understand this stuff.

2023

Moved online and developed our first structured course. We discovered that people learn better when they can ask questions without feeling judged. Our community-based approach became central to everything we do.

2024

Expanded to serve learners across Ireland. Added specialized workshops for different life stages — from recent graduates to people planning retirement. Each course adapts to where you are right now, not where textbooks think you should be.

2025

Today we're building Ireland's most approachable investment education platform. Our autumn 2025 courses will include interactive tools that let you practice with virtual portfolios before risking real money.

Plain English

We translate financial jargon into normal conversation. If our explanation requires a dictionary, we're doing it wrong.

Real Situations

Our examples use actual Irish salaries, real property prices, and genuine concerns people face when starting to invest.

No Judgment

Whether you're starting with €50 or €5,000, whether you're 22 or 62, we meet you where you are without making you feel behind.

Students learning investment fundamentals in interactive workshop setting Financial planning materials and educational resources for beginner investors Modern learning environment designed for comfortable financial education discussions Investment portfolio examples and practical tools used in our educational approach

What We Actually Do

We teach people how to make their money work harder without losing sleep over it. Our courses start with budgeting basics and progress to portfolio management, but always at your pace.

Most of our students are working professionals who want to understand investing but don't have time for complex theory. They need practical guidance that fits into busy lives and modest budgets.

"We believe financial education should feel like learning from a trusted friend, not sitting through a sales presentation."
